Rituals & Habits
Today we explored the power of rituals, habits, practices, and habit stacking - and how small, intentional 2-degree shifts quietly reshape our identity and daily experience.
We talked about the difference between:
Habits - automatic behaviors we repeat daily
Practices - intentional repetition with awareness
Rituals - behaviors infused with meaning and identity
The heart of this conversation:
Your life is shaped far more by what you do daily than by what you intend occasionally.
Small, consistent actions build neural pathways.
Repetition builds identity.
Identity builds momentum.

Transformation does not require a life overhaul - it requires small, sustainable shifts stacked into the life you already have. -
Part 1 - Notice What’s Already Working
We identified existing daily anchor habits.Reflection prompts included:
What are 3 things I already do every day without fail?
When in my day do I feel most steady or regulated?
What small ritual already grounds me?
The goal: build from stability, not from scratch.
Part 2 - Where Is There Friction?
We explored areas that feel rushed, reactive, or scattered.Journal prompts included:
Where in my day do I feel chaotic?
Where do I tend to abandon myself?
What area of my life would benefit from more rhythm?
Part 3 - Habit Stacking DesignWe used the formula:
After I ______ (existing habit),
I will ______ (tiny intentional action).Guidelines:
Less than 2 minutes
Small enough to sustain on a hard day
Clear and specific
Consistency over intensity.
Part 4 - Identity ShiftPrompt:
“I am someone who ______.”This work is not about productivity.
It is about who you are becoming through small, steady actions. -
If I practiced this one small ritual consistently for 90 days, how might my life feel different?
Steady change builds steady confidence.
Steady confidence builds momentum. -
It is so easy for me to create rhythm and momentum in my daily life.
