JournalSpeak
We explored Nicole Sachs’ practice of JournalSpeak — a way to safely release unprocessed emotions by writing uncensored and then holding space to regulate the nervous system.
We talked about:
Why journaling matters: unprocessed emotions live in the body and can show up as tension, anxiety, or even physical symptoms.
How writing becomes a safe release valve, clearing space for peace, creativity, and connection.
Nicole’s full practice: make 3 lists (childhood stressors, current stressors, personality traits), choose one to journal on for 20 minutes, tear it up, then spend 10 minutes in stillness.
We practiced a shorter version together: 5 minutes reflection, 7 minutes free-writing, tearing up the paper, and 5 minutes grounding meditation.
