Happiness

Today we explored the idea that happiness is not something we find someday in the future - it is something we cultivate through intentional practices and daily choices.

Using insights from Hardwired for Happiness by Ashish Kothari, we discussed nine practices that can help us create a more meaningful, fulfilling, and joyful life:

1. Self Awareness
2. Mindfulness
3. Purpose
4. Intention
5. Gratitude
6. Compassion
7. Forgiveness
8. Connection
9. Courage

We reflected on how many of us spend time waiting for happiness to arrive when circumstances change. Yet happiness often grows through small, consistent actions that help us become more aware, connected, intentional, and aligned with what matters most.

Through discussion and journaling, we considered what happiness means to us personally, where we may already be creating it in our lives, and where there may be opportunities for growth.

We also explored the idea that happiness is often shaped by small, intentional actions rather than external circumstances alone.
