Gratitude & Appreciation
We explored how gratitude and appreciation work together to shift our focus from what’s missing to what’s already here. Gratitude is a response - a deep sense of thankfulness for what we’ve received or experienced. Appreciation is a lens - a way of noticing and valuing the beauty, effort, and goodness in the present moment.
Gratitude connects us inward, evoking reflection and spiritual depth. Appreciation expands us outward, helping us recognize the richness in everyday life. Both strengthen neural pathways of joy, safety, and calm, inviting peace into the body and heart.
Through discussion, meditation, and journaling, we practiced tuning our attention toward what’s good and allowing that feeling to grow.
